Walker is joined in this ambitious effort by Boston Celtics great ML Carr, former MIT Dean for Graduate Students Ike Colbert and the group of scientists and doctors who developed Vanash. This group, at Boston Derm Labs, is led by Dr. Mike Rothman, an MIT Innovation Center Award winner. It includes former and current faculty of MIT, as well as Harvard and Boston University medical schools. Liz adds: “We call ourselves Team Vanash, and we are all committed to the philosophy of doing some good for other people, especially in these challenging economic times.”

The first groups lined up to benefit from Vanash largesse include the Joslin Diabetes Center; the Jubilee Christian Church; and Fresh Start Family Services, founded by Leon Powe, where foster youths become independent, contributing members of their community through mentorships and independent living skills services.
