Advantage Business Media has promoted Rhonda Rhodes to publisher of CED magazine, where she had been associate publisher under Bill Parker, who has been appointed to fill the Business Development Manager position for the brand. CED is the premier news and information source for the broadband communications and cable telephony markets.
“Since Rhonda joined the company in 2006, she and Bill Parker have been a great sales team,” said Advantage CEO Richard Reiff. “Their promotions will assure continuity for CED, and that the CED brand will continue to have a strong presence in the communications market. I wish them both ongoing successes in their new roles.”
Rhodes’ experience as an independent software consultant has proven to be an asset in the cable communications marketplace. Her seamless transition has helped her forge strong relationships within the industry, while quickly becoming an industry expert.
Parker brings more than two dozen years of trade advertising sales experience to CED. Since joining the company in July 1999 as a sales manager, he has demonstrated a strong ability to generate new business and he too has become an industry expert.
Reiff noted that Rhodes has quickly embraced the challenge of growing CED’s online business, making CED the leader in that area within the Advantage organization. In her new position, she will assume overall responsibility for CED sales and marketing efforts, as well as the development and management of online initiatives.
Rhodes has more than 17 years of consultative sales experience, including several years in the fields of IT/software and telephony. She made an immediate impact on the CED brand by cultivating new relationships with clients, creating new online opportunities and mentoring the sales team. Prior to joining Advantage, Rhonda was an independent sales consultant for software and technology companies in the Denver, Dallas and Seattle markets.
Both Rhodes and Parker are based out of Advantage Business Media’s Denver office.
