Aylus Networks, Inc., an innovative provider of real-time multimedia sharing solutions for mobile networks, today announced that two company executives have been selected to speak at International CTIA WIRELESS 2009® and its premier educational partner, IEC’s BBWF*Unwired (*Broadband World Forum), including founder and President, Dr. Shamim Naqvi, whose early work on VoIP, Softswitch technology and Cellular Push-to-Talk solutions helped create the mobile communications market we have today. International CTIA WIRELESS is the world’s largest event for the wireless communications industry and will take place April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Dr. Naqvi will participate in the session entitled “User-Generated Content – Something’s Happening Here…What is it?” as part of the event’s Developing Business on Mobile series and will discuss the development of innovative mobile applications. Moderated by Adam Guy, VP of Client Services at Compete, Inc., Dr. Naqvi will be joined by other industry players from the wireless community.
“This year’s educational program will focus on the development of wireless technologies, business roadmaps and emerging opportunities for established and emerging wireless players,” said Mark Desautels, vice president and show educational program director of International CTIA WIRELESS. “We look forward to the participation of executives from Aylus Networks in making this year’s program a success.”
“I am honored to be participating on this panel with some of the industry’s most respected thought leaders,” said Shamim Naqvi, President of Aylus Networks. “International CTIA WIRELESS helps to showcase the advancement of wireless technology and I am looking forward to sharing strategies for growth in a challenging market and address how leveraging mobile social networking applications can work to a company’s advantage in an unpredictable economy.”
Also representing Aylus Networks at BBWF*Unwired at International CTIA WIRELESS is Aashu Virmani, the company’s Head of Marketing who will chair an informative session called, “Monetizing User-Generated Content: A Symbiotic Approach,” on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 9:00am. Mr. Virmani will lead a panel of industry experts from Nokia Siemens Networks, NewBay Software, Orange, vTap, Chetan Sharma Consulting and Tucker Consulting.
“I am pleased to be leading a panel at BBWF*Unwired about the evolution and operator deployment of mobile UGC, and look forward to collaborating with so many industry experts on this matter,” said Aashu Virmani, Head of Marketing for Aylus Networks. “Aylus works to provide mobile operators with a competitive edge in the marketplace and I hope to offer BBWF attendees valuable insight into the importance of building a long-term monetization model that benefits both operators and vendors.”
