Apantac LLC, a leading designer and developer of high quality, cost effective signal processing equipment today announced that they will be showcasing their new line of TAHOMA Multiviewers and MT HOOD KVM Switches at the upcoming NAB 2009 event in Las Vegas. Apantac will be demonstrating these new products alongside their MT HOOD line of VGA/DVI/DVI/KVM Extenders at Booth No. SL13013.
NEW - Tahoma Series of Multiviewers with built-in CATx Extender
The Tahoma series of Multiviewers currently includes three platforms (LE4, LE16, LE32) to meet a variety of customers’ multi-format visual monitoring requirements. This 3G-ready family auto-detects 4 to 32 video inputs (HD/SD-SDI/Composite), supports DVI, HDMI and VGA outputs up to 2048x1080 (incl. 1080P), and includes built-in video and audio alarm detection. The Tahoma series incorporates a built-in CATx extender, which allows digital 1080P signals to be extended up to 115 feet. The unique combination of a Multiviewer and built-in CATx extender in a single solution helps reduce overall equipment costs and eliminates any equipment compatibility issues that may arise.
Apantac’s skin technology lets users personalize their on-screen display with any graphics tool. Video windows on the display may include multiple labels, and support UMD, OMD, IMD and standalone labels. Tahoma Multiviewers include 16 channels of embedded audio per input with 4 channels of discrete analog or digital audio as an option. Audio can be associated with the video windows or work as standalone audio meters.
The front panel of the Tahoma series also offers a unique feature-set that includes a headphone jack with volume adjustment for audio monitoring. And, front panel buttons enable users to quickly recall presets.
NEW - KVM Switches with built-in CATx Extender
Also showing for the first time is the MD HOOD family of KVM Switches with built-in CATx Extenders. These dual-interfaced (PS2 and USB) switches allow a user to control up to 8 or 16 computers simultaneously. Each input can be assigned a user name and password to enable enhanced security. The built-in CATx extender permits the control console of the KVM switch to be placed up to 650 feet away from the computer CPUs.
Whether you are outfitting a master control studio or newsroom, mobile van, government facility, new church production, or upgrading an existing facility, the Tahoma line of Multiviewers and MT HOOD KVM Switches are a feature-rich solution that allow you to reduce the cost and complexity of your visual monitoring activities.
Existing Products: MT HOOD
Also showing at NAB is the MT HOOD line of HDMI, DVI, VGA KVM Extenders, and Mini-converters / extenders. The MT HOOD product line has been specifically designed to provide users with a flexible and innovative AV / IT technology solution for signal extension and processing. The products represent state-of-the-art audio / video extension technology in convenient and compact designs, and are packed with functionality that simplifies and improves operational productivity.
The MT HOOD product family allows you to extend HDMI, DVI, VGA, KVM and audio signals up to 1,000 feet using a single CATX cable, giving you the assurance that you will not loose any detail in your high definition image. They are simple, easy to install solutions and are affordably priced compared to many other “longer distance” solutions for HDMI, DVI, VGA and KVM. The MT HOOD extenders maintain high quality video and audio from a source and transit it to the extended projectors or monitors. They are a plug-and-play solution requiring no software and can be cascaded for future expansion. MT HOOD is an ideal solution for professional applications that require the transmission of HDTV or high resolution computer, video and audio signals.
Apantac’s products integrate seamlessly with other industry-standard components such as displays, sources, networks, servers, and control systems. The complete Apantac product line is an ideal solution for monitoring a variety of video inputs and extending HDMI, DVI, VGA and KVM signals in a virtually unlimited number of applications. A few examples include; presentations in show rooms, board rooms, trade shows and digital signage displays, data broadcasting such as news, stock tickers, sports results, travel information, and education such as schools or training facilities and a variety of government video applications.
