Precision Auto Care, Inc. (PACI), announced a new partnership with Guardian Interlock Systems, the leading manufacturer of quality Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock devices for over 20 years. Precision Franchising, LLC, a subsidiary of PACI, franchises Precision Tune Auto Care centers around the world.
Precision Tune Auto Care becomes one of over 200 service centers currently servicing the Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Devices (BAIID’s). Currently, Precision Tune Auto Care centers located in Maryland, Texas, California, Washington and Arkansas are on this new program. Plans to implement this program at additional Precision Tune Auto Care centers is dependent on which local and state legislation supports this program. “Becoming an authorized service center for the Guardian Interlock System is a win/win for Precision Tune Auto Care. It is affording us an opportunity to help in the fight against drunk driving in addition to adding a new customer base for our existing business,” said Robert Falconi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Precision Auto Care, Inc.
To date, the Guardian Ignition Interlock devices have already prevented 4,931,988 intoxicated drivers from accessing the roadways. Studies show that re-arrest rates have decreased by 66% among individuals who have used Guidian’s Interlock device. Guardian is also proactive in efforts to sponsor state and national interlock legislation including working with state officials across the country to develop administrative and technical specifications for their interlock programs and conducting orientation programs at state judges’ conferences.
