Vendors are invited to submit an application to exhibit at the Green Beings Shopping Soiree, which will be held 10 am. to 3 pm. at the Meridian Club, located at Colette’s Catering in Fullerton, Calif. The event follows on the heels of Earth Week at the University of California, Irvine, and other Earth Day events throughout Southern California.
“Consumers want to do the right thing when it comes to the environment,” says Karen E. Spaeder, founder and CEO of Rain Frog Apparel, a bamboo fiber clothing company based in Fullerton. “I wanted to give my local community an opportunity to discover some of the ways they can go green without a lot of effort.”
The event will also offer sponsorship and speaking opportunities for green companies and professionals. Spaeder is seeking donations for goody bag items and any educational literature, which will be distributed to guests on site. Those who register as a vendor by March 7, 2009, will receive a $50 discount off the regular registration price of $225. Sponsorships are $125 and include free advertising and listing on the event website; the fee is waived for sponsors who donate goody bag items. Speaking opportunities alone are $45, with a 25 percent speaking-fee discount offered for those participating as vendors or sponsors.
