JobPlant.co.uk burst on to the cyber scene in January with the right tools to help recruiters and jobseekers find exactly what they are looking for.
With only a month gone since launching, more than 45,000 people have visited the site, attracted by its free video profiling service enabling job seekers to show recruiters the person behind the CV. The number of candidates choosing JobPlant.co.uk as the path to finding the job of their dreams is increasing daily, as well as the number of recruiters using the site.
Theresa Thembo was just one of the thousands who signed up to JobPlant.co.uk in January. “This website was exactly what I was looking for,” she said. “It is professional and user-friendly and I loved the fact that I could actually tell recruiters more about me through the personal video profile.”
JobPlant.co.uk has also been a hit with advertisers as well as recruiters. The website has been redesigned since its launch in order to accommodate advertisers, news feeds and events.
Companies are also able to put their own corporate video on the site enabling candidates to be well-prepared for an interview. David Pottier, Managing Director of Nevard Roland Executive Search, has been using video profiling for over three years. He said, “The technology is now available to make this a genuine added value concept in the executive recruitment process”
JobPlant.co.uk is the brainchild of a young entrepreneur Emmanuel Ogol, a London-based recruitment specialist, who saw a gap in the recruitment sector that could easily be filled by use of web video. He said, “Video Profile allows recruiters to see candidates presenting themselves as themselves, allowing their personality to shine through“.
“JobPlant.co.uk is different, it is a new generation job site built with user in mind. It provides a service that is cost effective for jobseekers and recruiters, secure and easy to use. With so many people out of work, recruiters can save time sifting through piles of CVs by visiting JobPlant.co.uk. By using JobPlant’s video profiling service, employers will be better equipped to judge whether a candidate is the right person to invite for an interview.”
