pTools has announced the deployment of pTools Content Management Software (CMS) for the new enterprise Intranet for Lincolnshire Police Force in the UK. The project provides an essential upgrade to the existing Lincolnshire Police intranet and is designed to deliver current legislation and procedural guidelines to officers across the force.
pTools enterprise content management software is the leading independent CMS vendor for police force Internet, intranet and extranet systems running Microsoft SharePoint and is used by a number of UK forces including Derbyshire and Strathclyde Police.
The Lincolnshire Police Force believes the new pTools Intranet will provide:
- Significant improvements in current news and key management updates for all officers and staff;
- Quick access to electronic forms and police systems;
- Force-wide access to current legislation, procedural guides and other vital information;
- a streamlined publishing process with fully integrated security and audit trail.

Lincolnshire Police Force staff in IT and Communications worked with pTools to define the key requirements and to gain the necessary knowledge and training needed to deploy the new system with ease internally.
