Building on the company’s success in the region, Smith will be responsible for driving Tideway’s U.S. revenue growth and managing the expanding partner channel to meet escalating market demand for data center transformation initiatives.
Smith brings more than 25 years of sales management experience in the global technology sector, including roles as senior vice president, alliances and senior vice president, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) sales at Exodus Communications. In his time at Exodus, Smith built a team of 500 employees and annual revenue of $120 million. Prior to Exodus he served as vice president of sales, EMEA, at Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL), where he was responsible for a staff of 130 sales professionals across 29 countries. Earlier in his career, he held sales management roles at Ready Systems, now part of Microware, and Apollo Computer, which was acquired by HP (NYSE: HPQ). Throughout his career, Smith has consistently delivered sustained revenue growth while building sales and alliances teams that reliably exceed sales targets.
