Featuring a high-impact, UV-stabilized lens material, applied LED technology specialist Dialight is bringing out the 657 Series, a rugged right-angle LED panel mount indicator that is highly suitable for outdoor applications and uses. Suitable applications include the illumination of dashboards, instrument panels, control panels, aircraft cockpit controls - anywhere where a cool-to-the-touch, vibration-proof light source is required.

The 657 Series features high-output white LEDs that provide 3500 fL of "cool white" light in a 110 degree illumination pattern, delivering high visual acuity exactly where needed and with minimal light spill. This light quality and controllability, combined with the indicator’s highly robust construction and 50,000 hour lifespan, make it a far superior light source compared to traditional incandescent lights that are too fragile to withstand the rugged treatment that is inevitable in many of the above applications.

Able to operate from -35°C to +65°C, the 657 Series features a fully-sealed, potted design that is impervious to dust and water intrusion and is rated to IP67/NEMA 4X as well as being RoHS and REACH compliant. It is regulated to operate from 12VDC to 32VDC, drawing a nominal current 25ma and non-polarized power input allows it to operate without regard to input polarity.

The 657 is keyed to prevent rotation and mounts in an 11/16" mounting hole. Its 18 AWG lead wires are 6" in length and can be provided in different lengths or with connectors upon request. It will be available shortly through Dialight’s global network of distributors.
