XTS Global, a full-service marketing and business provider, has been tapped by the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism to assist in targeting visitors from Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties to visit Palm Springs.

Palm Springs, like most every other domestic tourist destination, has felt the impact of a slowing economy. In the eyes of the City’s tourism industry, this creates more of a reason to tap into the drive market, as many visitors may cut back on expensive flights.

The task will be looked at through multiple lenses specifically targeting each demographic that makes up the Palm Springs marketplace. “Palm Springs is the perfect escape, especially for Southern California residents,” said Adam Bierman, XTS Global COO. “Our task is to engage each group and make them readily aware of the great value in this destination.”

“We know that the slow economy is a struggle for destinations everywhere, but we provide the allure of a far away destination close to home,” said Mary Jo Ginther, Director of the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism. “Working with XTS Global will provide new avenues to the drive market visitor through publicity events, online and social media, contests and other fun promotions.”

With the success of the Palm Springs International Film Festival comes the return of Hollywood’s elite to this blossoming cultural hotspot. $70 Million in renovations at The Riviera Resort and Spa have transformed it into the ideal setting for celebrities to relax, rejuvenate and indulge. The upcoming debut of the Ace Hotel and Swim Club will complement the city’s existing accommodations creating a chic and sophisticated, yet affordable getaway.
In true Palm Springs style, the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies “…a world-famous, Broadway-caliber celebration of the music, dance, and comedy of the 30's, 40's, and 50's with a cast old enough to have lived it!” has been adored by a mature audience to the tune of more than 3,000,000 patrons over the last 18 years. This desert oasis has stunning natural beauty, vibrant village scene, vintage and retro shops, bustling arts and entertainment community, where every person can experience their ideal escape all in one place.

“Palm Springs has a strong brand around the world, and our role is to strengthen its name. We want to bring that Old Hollywood allure into the present, showcasing Palm Springs as the desert playground for Southern California’s elite,” says Justin Urbas, XTS Global CEO.
