(Newswire Today) —  London, United Kingdom, 2009-01-27 - William Hill Bingo gave Breast Cancer Care a massive donation of £41,000 raised from the 'Pink Ribbon' campaign on their website.

William Hill Bingo has given a generous New Year’s present to Breast Cancer Care following a three-month online fundraising campaign. The popular bingo site raised a massive £41,000 for the charity Breast Cancer Care which supports anyone affected by breast cancer.

William Hill Bingo kicked off their ‘Pink Ribbon’ fundraising campaign during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and ran for three months. Players helped raise the money by playing the special Pink Ribbon games, with 10% from every Pink Ribbon ticket sold donated to Breast Cancer Care. William Hill Bingo also donated £10 to the charity for every new player who registered and played at least £20 within a month.

“Many thanks to our bingo players who have participated in the Pink Ribbon campaign in the last 3 months, enabling us to raise this terrific amount to help people affected by breast cancer.” said William Hill spokesperson Lili Huang, “One person is diagnosed with breast cancer every 11 minutes making it the most common cancer in the UK. That’s why Breast Cancer Care needs our help to ensure they can continue to provide information and support to anybody who is affected by the disease.”
