Vinotemp International, manufacturer of quality wine cooling and storage units, has announced the availability of the Wine-Mate WM-6500DS ducted cooling system, which greatly increases the installation options for consumers selecting a unit to protect their wine cellar environment.

“Our new 6500DS unit offers consumers more convenience and flexibility when selecting a cooling system for their cellar,” said India Hynes, President of Vinotemp International, the parent company of the Wine-Mate brand. “We are committed to giving our customers what they want for wine cellar cooling – including an innovative unit that has multiple, simple installation applications.”

The 6500DS is a self-contained, packaged cooling unit which houses both an evaporator and condenser in one box and is designed to be completely adaptable for many different wine cellar scenarios. Depending on the chosen installation configuration, ducted cooling systems can be the best solution for minimal visibility and quiet cooling. This unit provides flexibility in allowing both indoor and outdoor installation and numerous ducting options for the airflow to and from the cellar. Consumers can mount this system in a number of configurations including as a through-wall or remote unit, and installation is easy without requiring the use of a qualified HVAC or refrigeration specialist.

The new ducted wine cellar cooling system complements the current Wine-Mate line of self-contained and split system wine cellar cooling units. Like other Wine-Mate cooling units, the 6500DS offers a digital display, adjustable temperature control, and automatic defrost. The Wine-Mate brand includes over 25 different cooling systems to meet consumer demand for any wine storage cooling application.

The 6500DS has a cooling capacity of up to 1500 cubic feet or about 6500 bottles and continues Vinotemp’s commitment to quality wine cooling with a 1-year warranty on parts.
