Philadelphia, PA, United States, 01/14/2009 - 90-year Sarcone's Bread and Deli's Brand trusts its legacy to new franchisee. Sarcone's Deli is expanding outside of South Philadelphia though franchising. Sarcone's is set to open its first location in Medford, NJ early in 2009.

Sarcone’s Deli, an award winning Philadelphia landmark, has signed their first New Jersey franchisee. Anthony Bucci and Louis Sarcone, Jr, owners of Sarcone’s Deli, recently decided to expand their 90-year old brand name through a limited franchise offering to the public and are proud to announce their first franchisees, John and Angela McCann scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2009.
Bucci said, “It is time for us to grow to the Philadelphia suburbs and New Jersey, as many customers have come to expect only the best from the Sarcone’s name and with so many Best of Philly Awards, we were very careful to pick only the best franchisees. John and Angela definitely fall into that category”
McCann, an electrician who lives in Medford, New Jersey, had been searching for his dream business for years and tells us “I grew up working in Delis and I love to cook, so having the opportunity to combine my passion for food with the Sarcone’s brand name, is a dream come true. Angela and I have found our calling.”
Doug Jackson, who manages the Mid-Atlantic office of Upside Group Franchise Consulting headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ and assists Sarcone's in their selection process for new franchisees, adds, “Sarcone’s is very selective of who will become a franchisee due to the fact they are only offering a few franchise opportunities. We sifted through hundreds of franchise inquiries, John and Angela have stood out from the beginning and we are happy to be working side-by-side with them to begin the next successful phase of their lives.”
The McCann’s plan to open their Sarcone’s Deli close to home. “I am from Medford,” John smiles, “I want everyone who lives or works near Medford to be able to get a great sandwich.”
