Dallas-based Blockdot has released a free version of Chicktionary – one of the most popular word games on the internet – for the iPhone, and has boosted the puzzle count in the full iPhone version.
In Chicktionary, the goal is to unscramble a group of letters and create as many words as possible. Each chicken bears a letter. Tap the chickens and spell out a word, then watch as the word appears below them. The more words created, the more points earned.
Additional Chicktionary features include:
• Shake the iPhone to get a new look at your word options.
• Earn achievements for outstanding play.
• Save a game and complete it at a later time.
• Send a challenge-a-friend message directly from the iPhone.
• Post scores to a worldwide leader board.
• Find hidden Chicktionary Easter eggs.
The free version of the game (“Chicktionary Lite”) has 12 levels of game play. The full version of Chicktionary, which now comes with 300 puzzles, can be purchased for only $1.99. Both versions can be downloaded from the iTunes Chicktionary homepage.
