CIG Media Group welcomes Dave Allen as the Managing Editor of their seven clinical tumor-specific oncology journals. Allen has more than eight years of scientific publishing experience with the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) where he most recently served as the Director of Publications. In this role, he supervised the peer review, production, and business management of the highly ranked Journal of Bone and Mineral Research and the Primer on the Metabolic Bone Diseases and Disorders of Mineral Metabolism.
Dave Allen is known for his strong commitment toward scientific peer review and his vision for developing programs and models to advance scientific discourse. During his tenure with the ASBMR, Allen directed the transition to an online submission and peer review model, managed the transition to self-publishing the Primer (including the development of the first marketing campaign for that publication), supervised the redesign of the publications website, and managed the publishing program throughout an extended transition period.

Allen is a long-term member of the Council of Science Editors and the Society for Scholarly Publishing.
He received his bachelor’s degree in English (language, writing, editing) from North Carolina State University. He will officially begin working with CIG Media Group on January 12th, 2009. He will be relocating to Dallas, TX.
