U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia Headlining Legal Conference on Privacy Issues in Manhattan

New York, NY, United States, 12/19/2008 - U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia will headline, The Institute of American and Talmudic Law’s (IAT Law) Midwinter Conference, entitled, “The Right to Privacy and Individual Liberties – From Ancient Times to the Cyberspace Age,” on Wednesday.
The Institute of American and Talmudic Law (IAT Law) is holding its Midwinter Conference on the subject of privacy rights. The Conference is being hosted at the law offices of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP (Manhattan Office). It will explore ancient and modern ideas about privacy rights and will discuss the lessons to be learned for today’s technological age.
Unique, to IAT Law, Talmudic scholars will also explore whether there are similar ideas in Judaic law, as well as, how the Judaic legal code views privacy rights.
In addition to Justice Scalia, the event will feature many of the country’s top legal minds and privacy experts, taking part in an exciting day-long program. Confirmed speakers include Supreme Court litigator Nathan Lewin of Lewin & Lewin PC; privacy and technology expert Jules Polonetsky; attorney Barry I.
