Metroline, which operates over 1,200 buses from its 11 London garages, has briefed the Newbury-based design and web agency to create a new website targeting its key clients and other stakeholders and a new magazine for its staff. The focus of the creative work will be to portray the professionalism of the company and, in particular, the pride that its 3,850-strong workforce has in working for a company that keeps London moving.
Scott Crowder, communications manager for Metroline, said, “We chose MAXX because of their ability to combine creative dynamism with a friendly, approachable attitude. MAXX listened and quickly grasped a good understanding of our needs, core business and stakeholders, which is vital to our business communications; we really look forward to working with them on future projects.”
“We are delighted that Metroline has chosen to work with MAXX,” said Catherine Jenkins, business development director at MAXX Design. “Newbury is a great place for London-based companies to find high-quality design and marketing talent. It takes less than an hour to get to Newbury from London. We don’t have London overheads, but we do attract designers who are bursting with creativity. We are finding more and more businesses are recognising that there is a lot of talent outside of the capital – it’s a great option when you’re juggling a marketing budget.”
Based in Newbury, UK, MAXX Design offers complete integrated marketing communications for businesses: graphic design, branding, website development, SEO and online marketing, SERM, direct marketing, public relations, advertising and strategic planning.
Metroline is one of the top five London-based bus companies, currently running 13.5% of the capital's bus services under contract to Transport for London. It carries 250 million passengers every year, operates 93 routes, covers over 38.5 million journey miles each year, employs almost 3850 people and runs a fleet of over 1,200 buses in North, West and Central London and South Hertfordshire. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Singapore based ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, which is the world's second largest listed land transport company.
