Data Systems Analysts (DSA), a provider of enterprise-wide information technology solutions and security services to government and industry, announced today that Mr. John M. Gilligan has been appointed to DSAís Federal Advisory Board of Directors (FAB).

Previously, Mr. Gilligan was Senior Vice President and Director, Defense Sector, at SRA International, Inc. Mr. Gilligan has served as a Chief Information Officer for the United States Air Force and the U.S. Department of Energy. He was Program Executive Officer for Battle Management and Command and Control for the Air Force. He is a member of the Cyber Security Commission (formed to advise the 44th President) and the Army Science Board. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Center for Internet Security, Hunter Defense Technologies, Inc., and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.

Mr. Gilligan has been a recipient of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Distinguished Civilian Service Medal, Distinguished Executive Presidential Rank Award, Meritorious Executive Presidential Rank Award, and Computerworldís Premier 100 IT Leaders. He earned an M.B.A. in finance from Virginia Tech University and an M.S.E. in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

DSA established the Federal Advisory Board (FAB) to provide unique insights into the Civilian, Defense and Intelligence marketplaces. Its purpose is to assist DSA, an employee-owned company, in reviewing its strategic business plan, and to provide guidance on how DSA can continue to deliver innovative technology solutions in the public sector.

Other members of DSAís Federal Advisory Board include David Borland, former Deputy to the Armyís Chief Information Officer (CIO/G6); Kevin Carroll, former US Army Program Executive Officer (PEO), Enterprise Information Systems; Thomas L. Mestrovich, President and CEO, Unlimited New Dimensions, and President and Chairman of the Board of the Federation for Identity and Cross Credentialing Systems (FiXs); Charles A. Self, former Deputy Commissioner of the Federal Technology Service (FTS); and, William Shernit, former Intelsat General Corporation chief executive.
