Oxford, United Kingdom, 2008/12/11 - Coverity, Inc., the leader in improving software quality and security automatically in C/C++/C# and Java, today announced Danny McLaughlin has joined the company as Director of European Sales to manage the company’s continued success in Europe.
In the past year, the size of Coverity’s world wide customer base eclipsed 500. In Europe, Coverity™ grew 39% in the last year, and now has over 100 European customers including Frequentis, Dade Behring, France Telecom, Nokia Siemens, Sony Computer Entertainment, and Symbian.

McLaughlin joins Coverity from Agitar Software where he was responsible for the company’s European subsidiaries. Prior to that, he spent 10 years as IBM/Rational’s VP of Northern Europe responsible for the UK, Scandinavia and the Benelux.
In the last year Coverity also doubled its sales and technical staff in Europe while establishing a local sales centre in Germany to complement its European headquarters in Oxford, England. Coverity’s Germany office is managed by Jurgen Treip, and is located at Prielmayerstr 3, 80335 München. Coverity is looking to further expand its presence in Europe by establishing new reseller relationships in Scandinavia and Southern Europe.
