IND iMobile Banking, a unique mobile banking solution from IND Group, went live yesterday at CIB Bank, the member bank of Intesa Sanpaolo Group. The state-of-the-art and extended internet banking service, called mobilCIB, which has been optimized for smartphones and PDAs, is available for CIB customers from December 2008.
IND iMobile Banking, presented at this year’s CEBIT with a great success, is the basis of the mobilCIB service. The whole parameterization and custom extensions process had been taken only four months. The uniqueness of the convenient browser based solutions over the traditional WAP banking services are the highly ergonomic and well-designed features which assist the comfortable and easy-to-use banking on the mobile handset. Similar to the internet bank, basic banking transactions can be easily and securely carried out even through GPRS/EDGE mobile internet connection.
As a result of the feasibility planning phase, it had been outlined by June what kind of functions and features will be contained in the new CIB service. During the implementation process, the IND iMobile Banking software was customized and connected to the bank’s authorization system. Due to the flexibility of the core product, it was easy and simple to integrate it to the existing banking systems. Beyond the fine tuning of the default IND iMobile functions, a sort of additional features had been developed as well by the IND experts based on CIB’s special requirements.
Finally, in order to suit CIB’s brand image, the display was graphically customized and redesigned. MobilCIB provides access to all fundamental banking operations, such as the account balance history inquiry and the mobile top-up. The credit card overview provides the opportunity to transfer an appropriate amount from one account to another just before the card transaction (e.g. payment). In addition, 3rd party transfer, internal transfer, term deposit and stop deposit as well as card limit modification can also be initiated easily and securely. By this latter one the bankcard security level can also be increased, because a lower limit is enough to be set and it can temporarily be increased just before the transaction.
