At the glamorous black-tie gala World of Learning Awards 2008 dinner in Birmingham, Atlantic Link’s sales and marketing team were present to see longstanding customer, BowieCastlebank, win ‘Rapid e-Learning Solution of the Year’.
The World of Learning Awards is the learning industry’s most prestigious awards. Judged by an independent panel of experts, they recognise and reward organisations and people who have significantly advanced workplace productivity and performance within the field of learning and development.
In the ‘Rapid e-Learning Solution of the Year’, the judges were looking for an e-learning solution that had been implemented quickly and enabled hundreds of employees to be easily trained on a product, process or initiative. This solution had to be rich in content and cost-effective.
Bowie Castlebank, which trades under the Klick Photopoint and Max Spielmann retail brand names in the photo processing market, were delighted with the recognition of their project.
Training manager Karen Hancox-Barringer and her colleagues spent seven months researching the various rapid e-learning options in the marketplace. Following this extensive review, the Atlantic Link rapid e-learning software was purchased including the associated Learning Management System (LMS).
Bowie Castlebank has produced four major courses in four months. It is estimated that the same courses would have taken nearer a year to produce using the other software or would have cost over £100,000 to commission externally.
