Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology, today announced role-based redaction as part of its Brava!® Enterprise viewing, annotation and redaction software for Open Text Livelink ECM™. Role-based redaction allows Livelink administrators to assign different access rights to each Livelink group, helping to reduce liability and achieve regulatory compliance without sacrificing workflow efficiency.

Role-based redaction allows IT administrators to specify what content, based on policies, users in a Livelink Group can see. Each source document can have multiple redaction rules or templates applied, creating different views for different groups. For instance, users in a select group may be authorized to view particular information in one section of a document while another group’s view of that section may be completely blocked out. IGC is the first to allow this kind of data protection without sacrificing workflow efficiency.
