John will lead account direction on key clients including Electronic Arts, Sega, and learndirect, building client relationships, setting the campaign visions and ensuring creative delivery.
As Digital Director at Tribal DDB, John worked on the Volkswagen account for the past two-and-a-half years where he delivered award winning integrated campaigns such as Night Driving by Golf, Passat Midlife Crisis and Bourne Stunt Simulator.
Before joining Tribal DDB, John was Website Manager of Honda Motor Europe where he was responsible for all of Honda’s digital planning and communication in the UK. Key successes included the planning and delivery of the full redesign of Honda.co.uk, together with integrated digital campaigns for the brand including Civic Choir, Impossible Dream, The Honda Book of Help, Cog and Honda Happiness, which he worked on with Collective.

Collective has also appointed Jon Hayward as Senior Planner. Jon joins from OgilvyOne Dubai, where he was Business and Planning Director.

Also joining the team at Collective is Jamie Simpson, responsible for direction on the Honda account. He was previously an Account Director at digital agency Candi International.
Collective (collectivelondon.com) has also appointed Michael-Jason Hobbs as Head of Copy. He joins from AKQA where he was Copy Lead on Orange and Xbox and responsible for the recent award-winning ‘Halo 3 Sonic Vault’ project.
