Ampac Flexibles, the flexible packaging division of Ampac Packaging, LLC, and PROPAC Industrial Pty Ltd, have announced a partnership to bring integrated, solutions-based liquid hot fill packaging systems to the North American market. The collaboration between Ampac Flexibles and PROPAC will provide packagers with Vertical Form Film Seal (VFFS) systems combining Ampac’s Apex 9000 VF series films and PROPAC’s state of the art VFFS packaging machines. Ampac and PROPAC will be demonstrating the joint VFFS system capabilities at PACK EXPO 2008 in Chicago.
Ampac’s Apex 9000 VF Series films are engineered for hot- or ambient-filled VFFS food applications. The Apex 9000 VF films feature multi-layer constructions to provide a range of film properties including: tear, heat, and puncture resistance, oxygen and aroma barrier, and have fin or lap seal capability.
PROPAC Industrial’s line of VFFS systems bring to the North American market a more comprehensive and flexible vertical packaging solutions for customers. PROPAC’s systems are ideal for either cook or chill applications, and are exceptional for pumping liquids, pastes and sauces. PROPAC VFFS systems offer operational choices to the customer, including: continuous motion for high speed operations, the ability to accommodate large bag sizes, heavy duty systems for high viscosity applications, and a unique squeegee system to ensure a cleaner, more uniform, seal.
