The thirty-minute event will take place on Wednesday 22nd October 2008 at 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm GMT.
‘Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE)’ has been talked about for a long time now - and the question that everyone asks is what does it really mean and why should we do it? The aim of this Webinar is to dispel the prevailing myths and focus on some of the key business drivers for implementing a TCoE. The Webinar will look at the key aspects of what it means to an enterprise and will define the roadmap for setting up a TCoE. In the webinar, the host Shanmugavel (Shamy) Selvarajan, Vice President, Solution Engineering and the Performance Group at AppLabs, will also establish a framework which will guide the participant through the important activities of the entire process. Profile of Shanmugavel Selvarajan
Shanmugavel Selvarajan (Shamy) is the Vice President, Solution Engineering and the Performance Group for the European business of AppLabs, the world's largest independent testing, quality management and certification Solutions Company. In his role, Shamy will be responsible for spearheading the campaign for business growth in Europe by providing Innovative business solutions for existing and new customers.
In his career spanning over 14 years within the Global IT services space, he has played key roles in Strategic Account Management, Consulting, Relationship Management, Program Management and Business Development. During this time, he has spent almost 10 years in Europe and in the US working for global 500 customers like GE, Bank of America, Target Corporation, Sears, Auchan etc. defining and delivering outsourcing programs on a global delivery model.
Prior to AppLabs Shamy was with Wipro Technologies where he managed the growth of IT services business for Retail vertical across Europe. As the head of new business across UK, Europe and Nordics, he enabled strong business growth with new customer acquisitions across these regions and added some of the key retail customers to their portfolio. He was instrumental in closing multi million dollar deals with complex outsourcing solutions and commercial models involving Application Development / Maintenance, BPO, Testing and Technology infrastructure services. In his tenure of 4+ years at Wipro, he had also managed multiple retail accounts in the US delivering programs on global delivery model and enabled in creating the largest Retail customer engagement within their business unit.
Shamy also spent over 9 years with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), in portfolios ranging from strategic account management, product development, program management, Euro Consulting etc. for their BFSI and Retail Verticals.
Shamy is a Bachelor in Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai and has a Diploma in Business Management from ICS, UK.
