Full enforcement of The U.S. Commerce Department, Bureau of the Census, and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Mandatory Automated Export System (AES) final rule became effective on September 30, 2008. All U.S. Exporters are required to file Electronic Export Information using AES as well as provide proof of the AES Filing Citation to the carrier a minimum of 24 hours prior to the loading of the cargo. This topic is covered in the Export Documentation session.

Many manufacturers don’t take advantage of the North American Free Trade Agreement or other free trade agreements offered in the U.S. Many products qualify for duty free treatment and eliminate tariffs. Because of the complexity of the Free Trade Agreements many companies decide to pay their duties and not have to deal with the compliance requirements. NAFTA and other free trade agreements are covered in detail and demonstrate how easy it is to meet the Rules of Origin requirements and obtain Free Trade preferential treatment for your products.

Houston, St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Detroit; four large corporate manufacturing areas with an emphasis on international trade can now take advantage of Trade Compliance seminars coming to those cities during the month of October. More cities are available year round with over 22 major venues coast to coast.

Global Training Center is now enrolling for the month of October for seven one-day seminar/workshops for companies involved in international trade. Each seminar day is packed with updated regulations and documentation requirements for Exporting, Importing, Letters of Credit, NAFTA compliance, Air & Ocean Transportation, Tariff Classifications, and Audit Compliance.

Seminars are held daily from 8:30am - 4:00pm with materials and extensive complete workbook / manual.

CLE units are awarded.
