The banquet will shine the spotlight on over 20 organisations which, against a backdrop of turbulences gripping the world economy and financial markets, have emerged as potent forces in their respective sectors.
The evening will celebrate the positive impact which these companies' unique and innovative solutions and services are making across a diverse range of markets, including messaging security, videoconferencing and online advertising technology.
Frost & Sullivan's Awards will honour superlative accomplishments in a broad spectrum of categories, such as Product Line Strategy, Technology Innovation, Growth Strategy Leadership, as well as acknowledging outstanding green credentials.
Frost & Sullivan's banquet will also see a strong line-up of keynotes, with Martyn Lewis CBE, the former news presenter and Chairman of Teliris, expected to address the need for greater operational efficiency, driven by environmental sustainability and cost pressures. Within this context, Mr Lewis will be elaborating on the contribution of technology solutions.
A further keynote will be delivered by Tatiana Tolmacheva, co-founder and Managing Partner of iKS-Consulting, a consulting and research company specialising in the telecoms market in Russia and CIS. Ms Tolmacheva is expected to discuss the role which emerging telecoms markets in Russia and the Balkan states play in the overall development of these regions.
Remarking on the significance of Frost & Sullivan's Excellence in Information and Communication Technologies Awards, Daniel Shepherd, Director of Frost & Sullivan's ICT Practice, notes: “2008 has been a challenging year for the industry, yet we have continued to see growth and excellent performance being delivered by a number of outstanding companies.”
“It is our honour to recognise these achievements at Frost & Sullivan's annual Banquet and to support our clients in raising the visibility of what they have delivered,” he adds.
The presentation of the Awards will be preceded by a champagne reception, which will commence at 18:30 on 16th October 2008 at the London Zoo's BUGS House. The actual ceremony and dinner will take place between 19:40 and 22:30 at the Mappin Pavilion, followed by after-dinner drinks and further networking opportunities. The evening itself will come to a close at approximately 23:30.
Frost & Sullivan's Best Practices Awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research to identify best practices in the industry.
