Digital creative agency Collective has been appointed by e-learning specialist learndirect, to develop two banner advertising campaigns targeted at its consumer and business audiences that encourage positivity around up-skilling and re-training in the midst of a UK recession.
The campaigns will run in October and build on the remarkable success of the 'nothingcanstopyou' website, also developed by Collective. The messages will focus on good news stories that encourage people to think positively about their careers and businesses, particularly at a time when economic news is full of doom and gloom.
The business-to-consumer ad campaign, targeted at learndirect’s adult audience, will deliver one of three key messages: get a job, get on at work and get a qualification. Short videos will be used to showcase individual success stories around each theme, to motivate others and contrast with the current negative economic climate.
Richard Barker, marketing manager of learndirect, comments: “We’ve been delighted with the success of the 'nothingcanstopyou' brand campaign, and are excited to be working with Collective again on these two banner advertising campaigns. In a time of economic recession, we’re keen to help our adult and business audiences maintain a positive outlook. Raising the profile of the learndirect brand is key, as is driving response through the media channels we’re continuing to invest in.”
Greg Doone, managing director of Collective, adds: “We’re thrilled to be working with learndirect again, enabling us to continue to build on the concept that we successfully developed for the 'nothingcanstopyou' site. It’s a great time to be working on a campaign with a strong social angle and good to deliver such a positive message.”
