The conference will be held at the Reagan Building and International Trade Center on October 15-16, 2008. This global forum will bring together business leaders from around the world in investor communications, accounting, auditing and government agencies to discuss the impact of Interactive Data on their practice areas.
"XBRL is great step forward for corporations to provide better investor information. However, the full value of XBRL will be realized only when corporations start tagging financial information at the source i.e. ERP systems," said Satish Appalakutty, CEO of NeoClarus. "While XBRL offers compelling benefits to investors, institutions and analysts to be able to easily extract, compare and interpret data, the tagging of data to specific taxonomies can be tedious. NeoClarus makes preparation of XBRL documents easy for accounting professionals. With NeoClarus, one can seamlessly tag GL data to create an XBRL document."
The panel will discuss the software tools available in the market and how corporations can select the right tools to file financial statements in XBRL to meet their needs. The full conference is for two days, October 15-16, and features additional keynote speakers Christopher Cox, Chairman, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ira M. Millstein, Partner, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP, William Lutz, Professor Emeritus, Rutgers University, Chair, SEC's 21st Century Disclosure Initiative and Liping Song, the CEO of the Shenzen Stock Exchange.
