Designed to handle the small- to medium-size cartons used by the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, the maintenance-free cartoner meets cGMP requirements. Balcony design provides easy cleaning and maintenance and prevents debris from falling into the machinery. Central adjustments and digital indicators on the front of the machine allow for reproducible, settable adjustments, providing a fast changeover. In most cases, no tools are required. The AS 150 offers a variety of options for leaflet insertion, carton closure, embossing or ink coding, and product infeed configurations.
Model AS 150 handles speeds of up to 140 cartons per minute. The carton transport system uses patented technology that incorporates scratch-resistant, white, plastic, toothed belts, which gently handle fragile and high gloss cartons without scratching or damaging the finish. Accurate mechanical motions and reliable product feeding mechanisms allow the horizontal cartoners’ high speed and quality of performance. User-friendly PLC with touch screen display assures ease of operation with a minimum of operator training.
The AS 150 handles pre-glued cartons and can accommodate a variety of closure types, including straight or reverse tuck-in, hot-melt glue, mixed or tamper evident. The cartoner can be used with a number of automatic feeding options, including robotic solutions for product collation and loading.
