Dining and shopping remain in a neck and neck tie for the top activity visitors participate in when they travel. So making it easy for them to find restaurants and save money on their meals is a priority for Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Representing the two-county, three-city eastern Pennsylvania region, the Bureau recently released the 2008-2009 version of its Lehigh Valley Dining Guide. The free 32-page color brochure features more than 70 dining venues with special discounts at more than 25 restaurants.
The Lehigh Valley Dining Guide highlights some of the region’s most popular dining establishments, from fine dining to fast food. Each is classified as one of 24 different cuisine types, such as Japanese, American, French, Italian, German, Indian and others.
Restaurant listings include the dining facility’s address, phone number, Web site and hours of operation. Symbols denote average dinner price (from under $10 to over $30); credit cards accepted; meals served; children’s menu availability; Wi-Fi and handicap accessibility; alcohol availability; and totally smoke-free facilities. A new, yellow star symbol denotes that a discount coupon for that restaurant can be found in the back of the brochure.
Discounts vary and include offers such as 10 or 15 percent off the total bill; a complimentary appetizer or dessert; or buy one get one free. To redeem a special offer, visitors simply present the appropriate coupon to their server when ordering.
To receive a complimentary copy of the Lehigh Valley Dining Guide, call Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau at (800) 747-0561 or visit LehighValleyPa.org. Guides can also be picked up from hotel brochure racks throughout the region.
The Lehigh Valley Dining Guide can be downloaded (PDF) at LehighValleyPa.org by clicking on the “Free Brochures & Maps” button on the left side of the home page. While on the site, visitors can also peruse the area’s dining options in the “Eat & Drink” section.
