Buffalo, NY, United States, 09/22/2008 - Time Warner Cable in Buffalo, New York, added five high-definition channels to its HD tier, including HGTV HD, NHL Network HD, History Channel HD, Disney Channel HD and Lifetime Movie Networks HD.

Time Warner Cable, the nation’s second largest cable television operator and provider of telecommunications services, today announced that is has added an additional five new channels on its FREE high-definition tier, including HGTV HD on channel 715, NHL Network HD on channel 729, History Channel HD on channel 744, Disney Channel HD on channel 750 and Lifetime Movie Networks HD on channel 751.
“Time Warner Cable is pleased to bring our customers even more high quality HD channels. In fact, we are well on our way toward tripling the number of free HD channels before the end of the year,” said Terence Rafferty, WNY Division President, Time Warner Cable. “It is our goal to add HD channels that our customers have expressed interest in, as well as provide true HD entertainment value.”
HGTV HD is America's leader in home and lifestyle programming, addressing such topics as decorating, designing, landscaping or buying a house. Its featured shows include: World's Most Extreme Homes, Generation Renovation, Landscape Smart, Rezoned, Small Space, Big Style, and popular programming from Fine Living TV and DIY Networks.
NHL Network is the first high-definition network dedicated to the National Hockey League, providing 24-hour, all-access hockey coverage—on and off the ice. The channel features live games, daily highlight shows, up-to-the-minute hockey news, plus exclusive hockey programs.
The History Channel HD is a leading destination for revealing, award-winning, original non-fiction series and event-driven specials. The channel offers programming such as Ax Men, Battle 360, The Universe, Cities of The Underworld, Ice Road Truckers, and Ancient Discoveries.
