“We wanted to provide something new for PMI certified professionals to earn continuing education units (CEU) in a convenient, low cost format,” said Douglas O’Dell, President of PMI. “We think this is going to be a popular format for anyone in the medical office profession.”
The pre-recorded audio sessions cover topics related to coding, billing, compliance and management for the medical office. Each session is taught by educators and professionals from all walks of practice management. Printable presentation slides accompany each audio download.
Continuing education units (CEUs) may be earned by passing an online quiz that measures knowledge from review of the audio session and materials. Participants are allowed two attempts to pass the quiz with a score of 80% or better to earn the CEU. Single sessions are $79 each, offering a convenient, inexpensive means for enhancing medical office skills and earning CEUs.
“The downloadable format will give our certified professionals instant access to training,” said O’Dell. The sessions play on any Windows or Macintosh computer with an audio player. Handouts can be viewed using Adobe’s free Acrobat reader software.
