Several members of the Ventura County Contractors Association (VCCA) will participate in workshops at the Big E Extravaganza in Oxnard CA Sept. 27-28 in an effort to educate the public on environmental, energy and green building concepts, and to teach consumers about sustainable living and environmentally-conscious choices.
“We encourage the public to come out to the Big E Extravaganza to talk with licensed contractors at our booth and to learn more about what products are on the market today that support a green environment,” said Tommy Tatangelo, VCCA president. “I guarantee those who attend will walk away with enthusiasm and at least one way they can help the environment.”
“Natural Gas has risen 21 percent over the past year, and electricity cost is projected to rise 30 percent in the coming year,” said Wayne Pendrey, a board member of VCCA and solar energy consultant. “Are rising utility bills a concern to you? At the Big E event I will host a workshop to discuss the difference between solar-powered and passive solar homes, and how the two can work together to better our environment now and in the future.”
In addition to providing visitors state sponsored information brochures at the show, contractors are invited to stop by and ask questions about membership in one of the most prestigious contractors associations in the State of California.
Hosted by Money Intelligence and AM 1400 KKZZ, The Big E Extravaganza event is from 10am to 5pm each day at the Palms Shopping Center in Oxnard, off Highway 101. Admission is free.
