Digital engagement agency Kerb has been appointed by E4.com to develop a branded widget to promote the new season of Fonejacker, which enables viewers to ‘appear’ in one of three skits from the show.
The Flash-based application invites users to upload their photo (or a friend’s), re-size their face to fit the given template and mark out their jaw line, so that their face is transposed to a sketch of their choice. The content can then be posted to their Facebook or Bebo profile, or uploaded to their blog.
Kerb secured the Fonejacker project following the success of its game, ‘Stack Da E4 Police’, which was developed as part of a wider branding campaign for the newly launched E4.com website.
Kerb is expert at developing engaging content for a youth audience, and it is hoped that the Fonejacker application will be popular with its target 16-24 age group, helping to drive new viewers to the comedy show.

The new season of Fonejacker airs tonight (Wednesday, 17th September) at 10pm on E4, and the widget will be available for a six-month period through the E4.com website.
