With more than 15 years of credit risk management experience, spanning originations and account management, predictive modelling, profitability analysis and strategy development, Simon’s extensive experience will provide industry depth to the Board of Directors.
Simon is currently responsible for the Consulting, Analytics and Predictive Modelling teams based at the Cape Town head office. Over the past 8 years at PIC Solutions, Simon has worked on leading-edge analytical and business consulting projects for the major credit issuers in South Africa and the Middle East. This has included numerous TRIAD™ implementations, the implementation and use of profit/value driven models, the development of provisioning models and multiple new product developments.
Previously, at Fair Isaac International, he was responsible for developing effective and profitable account management strategies and the implementation of multiple statistical portfolio models. He was also responsible for the development of application, behaviour, attrition and customer scoring projects for a wide-range of European, Middle East and South African clients. At HSBC Asset Finance, Simon held the position of portfolio analyst, developing internal scoring systems, portfolio analysis tools and multiple scorecards for consumers and small businesses.
Simon holds a B.Eng (Honours) from Sheffield University. He is a member of the UK and SA Institutes of Credit Management, the South African Statistical Association and the Operations Research Society of South Africa.
