Travel industry executives Jennifer Landaz and Peri Smith, owners of Meet and Greet Las Vegas, have purchased and assumed operations for Write Or Invite. The invitation, stationary and gift store is located at 8250 W. Desert Inn Road, Suite E1, near Durango Drive in Southwest Las Vegas.
“Write Or Invite was the perfect opportunity to expand our business with something that we truly enjoy,” said Landaz. “I have always had a passion for scrapbooking, card making and stationary and Peri is an expert in current fashions and trends.” The business partners founded parent company Meet and Greet Las Vegas, which provides comprehensive travel services to groups visiting the city, last year.
Landaz, a native Las Vegan, said the timing was right when she found one of her favorite stores struggling in the current economy. After taking over operations, she infused some much-needed color and décor as well as a completely new inventory of imprintable invitations, stationary and gifts.
“We brought in thousands of new items, from invitations for every occasion to fun gifts and, of course, unique travel items,” she said. “Most importantly, we made the environment inviting and enjoyable for our customers. The store now has a personality that speaks to our tastes for both fashion and fun.”
Since assuming operations just five months ago, Write Or Invite has tripled its average monthly sales and found a following of loyal customers. “We knew there were other people like us who were looking for unique stationary and invitations but didn’t have many options among local businesses,” said Landaz. “No matter what the occasion, we put our creative minds together to design and print invitations, place cards, party gifts and thank you cards that bring it all together.”
Landaz and Smith are passionate about trends in their business and offer lots of items in the year’s hottest color, chocolate, as well as the hottest wedding theme, eco-friendly. “So many colors work well with chocolate, but our favorite is pink. You’ll see it everywhere in the store!” said Landaz. “And there are many ways to make your wedding green, from the invitations and gifts all the way to the altar. We love to help our customers come up with creative ways to plan their special day.”
