You’ve read it online. You've seen the bylines and Op-Eds. Now, SpeakMediaBlog is available in living color. The blog, which covers news and trends in public relations, marketing and social media, has launched a YouTube Channel of the same name.
The new channel will feature brief Vlogs, as well as media interviews; panel discussions with a variety of industry leaders; and formal and informal presentations.
"I launched this blog nearly a year ago and through it, I've been able to connect with people from all over the globe about trends in our industry," said Jennifer A. Jones, creator and author of Speak Media Blog. "I sincerely hope the Vlogs, videos and video responses will allow us to get to know each other even more and generate further discussion about the major changes happening in our industry."
Jones’ philosophy, often echoed through her blog, is that in this world of new and social media, today everyone is a reporter and therefore brands should speak to their customers in the same way they would the press by blending public relations and marketing disciplines into comprehensive strategic campaigns.
