Why should your business go green? Does it rate you a tax break? How do you qualify as a green business? These are just some of the topics that executives from four green' South Shore companies will hit upon at the next South Shore Ad Club event, to be held on September 17 at the Holiday Inn Rockland (formerly the Radisson in Rockland).
The green panel includes:
• Stuart Swanson, senior vice president, JM Perrone, a full-service direct marketing firm.
• Catherine Collins, regional manager, Appleton Coated, a domestic manufacturer of premium coated papers.
• Jeff Baker, CEO, Image, a graphic design and production company.
• Anastasia Toomey, senior vice president, Consumer Insights, AMP Agency.
"We, as a society, are in the middle of a ®green movement that has begun to impact the way consumers perceive, evaluate and talk about companies and brands," said Steve Dubin, owner of PR Works and member of the South Shore Ad Club¡'s board of directors. "The panel will not only discuss the ways in which businesses can operate in a greener fashion but how that can impact the other important green factor's the bottom line."
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 17 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Holiday Inn Rockland (formerly the Radisson in Rockland) located at 909 Hingham Street. The price of admission is $25 for non-members, $15 for members. Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Copywriters, graphic designers, Web designers, ad agencies, pr agencies, photographers, printers, typesetters, corporate communications professionals, marketing professionals, printers, videographers and small businesses are welcome to attend.
