Featuring seminars from experts including internationally-acclaimed child nutritionist and author Annabel Karmel, child psychologist and presenter of ‘Families in Trouble, David Coleman, and presenter of RTE series ‘Baby on Board’, Grainne Ryan, Dundrum Town Centre truly is the only place to be this Back to School season!
David Coleman, clinical psychologist and presenter of hit RTE series ‘Families in Trouble’ will host a seminar in Frangos World Cuisine, located on Level 3 on 4th September at 11.00am and will help parents devise strategies to deal with problems at home; whether they be temperamental toddlers, turbulent teens, or just fraught family situations, David will share his experiences and advice with parents.
Another highlight of the week will take place on Friday, 5th September when best-selling author and child nutrition expert Annabel Karmel, is welcomed to Dundrum Town Centre for the exclusive Irish launch of her new book, ‘Baby and Toddler Food Diary’, published by Dorling Kindersley. A busy mum herself, Annabel will then host a seminar in Frangos World Cuisine, located on Level 3 at 12.00pm, where she will share imaginative and useful tips and tricks to ensure even the fussiest child eats a balanced and healthy diet.
Commenting on her new book, ‘Baby and Toddler Food Diary’, Annabel states: “The message I want to get across is that feeding children is about common sense and a mum’s instinct…My aim in this book is to empower you by giving you all the information you need to make an informed choice, and dispel those old wives’ tales…and most of all [to] have fun”
Other engaging and informative seminars for parents include Alice Walsh’s “First Aid for Infants” taking place at 11.00am on Monday, 1st September; and Leticia Merin’s “Baby Massage” on Wednesday, 3rd September at 11.00am.
The fun and games doesn’t stop there however! Throughout the week ‘Monkey Music’ workshops will introduce music to young children in a way they can understand and enjoy, ‘Clap Handies’ will encourage you and your child to have interactive play and floor-time, while Yoga Bug demonstrations will keep you and your children on your toes!
Children’s entertainment will be provided in the centre every day throughout the week, including learning games such as Leapster; handheld entertainment games including Spiderman, Madagascar; books and colouring materials; facepainters, balloon modellers, Funky Nails and Dundrum Town Centre story time.
All events are free and available on a first come and first serve basis. Tickets requests can be made by emailing info[.]dundrum.ie.
