The American made PosiTector UTG Ultrasonic Thickness Gage by DeFelsko Corporation has just been redesigned to include new features and a new model. Now available in either Standard or ME–Thru Paint models, the updated PosiTector UTG is ideal for measuring the wall thickness of materials such as steel, plastic and more.
The PosiTector UTG Std is ideal for measuring the effects of corrosion or erosion on tanks, pipes or any structure where access is limited to one side and features a Scan Mode for quick inspection over a large area.
The New PosiTector UTG ME features Thru-Paint capability to measure the metal thickness of a painted structure without having to remove the coating. The most accurate method to measure remaining wall thickness of a painted steel structure because it automatically disregards the coating, lowering inspection time and expense.
New features include an internal memory that stores up to 10,000 readings, USB port for downloading readings using optional PosiSoft software, large impact resistant Lexan display, IP5X ingress protection and protective rubber holster. Conforms to ASTM E797.
DeFelsko also offers quality inspection instruments including the PosiTector series of coating thickness gages, Digital PosiTest Adhesion Tester, the NEW PosiTector Dew Point Meter with available Magnetic Surface Temperature Probe Kit (optional) and PosiTector Ultrasonic Thickness Gage with your choice of standard or multiple echo-thru paint gages.
