MPORA.TV, Europe’s largest extreme sports internet channel, launches today. With content from across the world of extreme sports, MPORA.TV will offer users unparalleled access to the worlds of surfing, snowboarding, motocross, mountain biking, skateboarding and BMX.
To kick the channel off in style, MPORA.TV is offering exclusive access to the UK’s largest festival, the Rip Curl Boardmasters in Newquay. As official media partners, MPORA.TV will live stream all of the action from the Boardmasters through their innovative, embeddable player. With chat functionality and live, real-time text commentary, this player offers anyone not lucky enough to have a ticket to Newquay the chance to be part of the event.
As well as all the live action, MPORA.TV will be producing extensive, presenter-lead highlights from behind the scenes of this legendary event. The MPORA.TV team will be going backstage with some of the biggest names in music (The Pigeon Detectives, The Zutons, Groove Armada to name but a few). They’ll also be delving backstage to get all the action from the infamous Zoo bikini competition – and let’s not get started on the Zoo volleyball tournament...

MPORA.TV work with producers from around Europe to bring the best action films and documentaries to the internet. The channel currently streams in excess of thirty full-length movies and has commissioned numerous shows focusing on numerous extreme sports. To consolidate their position as market leaders, MPORA.TV have tied up with US Production Company Video Action Sports Entertainment Group (VAS), who produce some of the most famous action sports movies available.
MPORA.TV will be tapping into the recent growth of interest in action sports by a mainstream and youth audience, providing content that this audience wants to watch. There are one million regular extreme sports’ participants in the UK, with a three-and-a-half million estimated total audience in the UK alone.
