Today, ChatterBox Publicity, LLC, (CBP) announced the new direction for their firm. The Agency, mostly known for managing the public image of their music and entertainment accounts, is transitioning their firm to meet their clients' growing demand for a strong social media presence.

Blogs and Social Networks have become two of the main sources for evaluating a client's positioning and public reputation. These two channels have retired many previous methods of tracking a client's brand, such as surveys and focus groups. With the use of RSS feeds, social bookmarking tools and so many other applications, PR professionals no longer have to rely solely on traditional media monitoring services.
As a result of this new era of technology, CBP has repositioned itself to provide their client's with a new standard for engaging their customers or target audience. The new method will allow client's to connect with their target on a more personal and effective level. These tools will also provide their client's with feedback and research, which are valuable to their client's overall marketing goals. A sample of tools, applications and platforms used to evaluate a campaign's success include Facebook, Technorati, Del.icio.us, Twitter, Flickr, Digg, Reddit and StumbleUpon. “We've already witnessed the effectiveness of these applications through the success of previous and existing campaigns” states Jonnice Slaughter.
On Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Jonnice Slaughter will be appearing on Kevin Ross' Blogtalk radio show, airing live at 10:30 PM EDT. She will be discussing PR's responsibility to social media and the influence of bloggers. The topic of Wednesday's show “Are Bloggers The Real Media,” will also recap the first Blogging While Brown Conference which took place this past weekend in Atlanta.
