Holland, OH, United States, 07/14/2008 - Independent healthcare research firm KLAS recently released its ranking of the top medical transcription firms, and Heartland ranked second out of thirteen. This marks the third year in a row that Heartland increased its ranking.

Heartland Information Services has moved up for the third year in a row to second place among thirteen national medical transcription vendors, according to rankings recently released by KLAS®, an independent healthcare research firm. The report, released on June 30, 2008, ranked medical transcription companies based on multiple indicators, interviewing over 420 individual providers who are predominantly HIM and Transcription Directors and/or Managers.
In addition to its improved ranking, Heartland also had the highest rating of all thirteen companies for overall turnaround time (TAT), and was the only vendor to improve in both Performance and Business Indicators.
