In an effort to reclaim patriotism, Chiro One Wellness Centers (COWC) announced today plans to launch “Operation Share the Wellness,” a new initiative aimed at supporting America’s newest returning veterans with immediate access to chiropractic services. Out of a desire to serve and to fill a vitally important health care gap, COWC’s are extending an offer of care for one full year for any US military veteran returning from overseas deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq, at no charge at their 24 Chicagoland and Kentucky area Clinics.
Tens of thousands of US military personnel are being rotated back to the US, many to civilian life, and others to statewide deployment. Beginning July 4th, 2008, Chiro One Wellness Centers’ doors will be open to any returning soldier, both active and inactive and will offer one year of complimentary care to commence the date of entrance into the program. To be eligible for complimentary care, active and inactive duty personnel must be without chiropractic benefits made available by personal, employer-provided, or state or federal health insurance. Services of this new program include chiropractic examinations, adjustments, x-rays, and rehabilitative services. The complimentary care does not include durable medical equipment, nutritional supplements, or similar products. In the spirit of service, COWC plans to supplement Operation Share the Wellness with an internal year-long program geared to support troops through community outreach efforts. Operation Share the Wellness will conclude July 4th, 2009.

Our returning veterans, whether visibly wounded of free of outward symptoms, are coming home changed and need our help as chiropractors.”
