The Savoie Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI de la Savoie), together with the Rhône-Alpes Region, the Sporaltec competitiveness cluster and UBIFRANCE (the French Agency for International Business Development), is supporting nine companies from the Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France at the Outdoor trade fair, which will be held from 17 to 20 July in Friedrichshafen (Germany). The companies exhibiting at the Outdoor French Innovation booth all manufacture innovative equipment for use in outdoor leisure activities.
As part of the international initiatives of French competitiveness cluster Sporaltec (which is focused on sports, leisure and outdoor equipment), the following companies will be present on the CCI de la Savoie stand at Outdoor.
Cilao, which was established in 2003, sells ergonomic and ultra-light climbing and mountaineering equipment, including harnesses and rucksacks made of Dyneema, a resistant polyethylene fibre. The company’s 1,100-gram iZi 80 bag, for example, can hold up to 80 litres (total volume).
Also on display at the trade show will be products from Pascal Guidetti, a specialist in automated hiking sticks. Simple pressure from the thumb on the handle will immediately adjust the stick’s length. The company’s Easy Trek walking stick features a telescopic system for automatic adjustment depending on the user profile, ground characteristics and slope gradient.
TSL Outdoor is a leading manufacturer of snowshoes. The company also manufactures Nordic walking sticks made of glass fibre and carbon, which are equipped with Energy Response handles and Push and Pull PAD studs. For its part, Raidlight designs and manufactures clothing, rucksacks and walking sticks for trail walking.
Sidas, which was founded in 1975, manufactures the Conform’able brand of thermoforming shoes, ski boots and soles, which adapt perfectly to fit the wearer’s feet. Among the products on display will be running, hiking, golfing, skiing and trekking shoes. Also present on the stand will be Andrea Boldrini, Entre-Prises and Expression-Holds, which all specialise in climbing gear, including climbing holds, shoes, complete climbing-wall systems, elevated obstacle courses and clothing.
Finally, Quintenas Textile Solutions, specialists in intelligent textiles, will present two brands – Kover® and Advantex™. Kover® provides permanent protection against mosquitoes, mites and other insects. It uses micro-encapsulation and spray-rechargeable fabric to give clothing maximum insecticidal and acaricidal properties (not just repellent). Quintenas Textile Solutions also distributes Advantex™, a brand designed for use in soft shells. Advantex™ offers ultra-durable breathability and water-repellent properties, thanks to a unique patent that uses silicone treatment (without fluorinated products) alongside stretch fabrics and a waterproof membrane.
