An original work is now being auctioned at Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame in Canandaigua for the Sands Cancer Center.
"Offering Thanks", an original that was done in pencil, watercolor and gouache on paper from famed artist Patience Brewster, will be showcased from June 27 to July 13th. Those who are interested are welcomed to bid and view her other works in this exclusive exhibit at that time.
"I chose this as a donation when I heard it would benefit the hospital," Patience Brewster said. "We are so thankful when we do not need them, but are all beyond grateful and appreciative when we do need hospitals, doctors and nurses."
Patience Brewster, an acclaimed artist who has her own line of greeting cards, paintings, ornaments, and children‘s picture books, is known worldwide for her whimsical art. The donated art work has a special meaning to the artist. Her son had lost his battle with cancer in October of 2005 at the tender age of 26.
The original art work is valued at $990 and the public is encouraged to view Patience Brewster’s exhibit and to bid on the donated art, which is located at Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame in Canandaigua. Bob and Aimee Ward at Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame are always supporting local charities. They are part of a growing art community in the Finger Lakes area. Canandaigua is the art mecca of the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, known for the scenic landscapes and vineyards.
