NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States, 06/22/2008 - An overview on the new dramatic film produced by MTD Studios. Restless Addiction is a feature film about heroin addiction and the hustlers that sell it.

Innovative Partners Group has announced today that Restless Addiction will begin principle photography in November. The feature length drama is the story of a young drug counselor (Terry LoFrese) struggling to save the life of a heroin addict (Michael Thomas Dunn). It will examine the hardships of life in the ghetto and urban violence. A talented cast stars in this ensemble film including Allan Medina (Bloody 27), Martin Seijo (Coming Attractions) and Annalisa Kyler (Alone and Restless).

Restless Addiction will be shot exclusively on location. "We have access to our own backlot now but I didn't wanted to build sets for this film. I wanted the authentic look of a downtown city... so that is where we're shooting this thing," according to Director Michael Thomas Dunn. Cinematographer David Rodriguez plans to use the gritty locations to establish the dark nature of the story. Rodriguez says, "Visuals make or break a film. Look at how amazing the recent Alien Vs. Predator movie looks -- they totally sold that film with a relatively small budget."

Dunn is truly excited to direct the new film. He sums it up, "I really am excited to bring this story to audiences. This film really builds on elements of the earlier film we made called Alone and Restless. This is not a sequel, yet much of the cast is reprising similar characters." For this film, Dunn has teamed up again with Executive Producer Gabriel Pitts who recently completed the horror film Bloody 27. "Yeah, back again with Mister D," Pitts adds.

"The wild part about this film is we are revisiting some of the events from the 2004 film. Last time we saw the world through the eyes of the homeless. This time we walk in the footsteps of a heroin addict," Dunn interjects. "I think if you watch both films together, you'd be a little shocked by how we bridge them. Its very experimental," He continues. The quirky nature of Dunn's film has started to make many professionals in the film industry take notice.

The Alex Frielings Company will handle the Dolby Digital audio mix and soundtrack for the upcoming feature film. As sound producer, Frielings is excited by the great opportunity that this new dramatic film presents. Restless Addiction will be executive produced by Gabriel C. Pitts and directed by independent film director Michael Thomas Dunn. Cinematography will be handled by veteran David Rodriguez.
