Schaffner’s latest filter series helps reduce harmonic waves and represents the ideal solution for three-phase power electronics with six-phase rectifier front ends, such as AC and motor drives.

The 16-page brochure outlines ECOsine’s advanced features including its light weight and compact dimensions and plug-and-play concept, which allows for quick installation, wiring and commissioning, without the need for system analysis or involvement of highly trained specialists. Schaffner’s ECOsine filters are ideal for applications involving AC or DC motor drives, including factory automation equipment, water/wastewater treatment facilities, oil and gas exploration, HVAC installations and mission-critical processes.

As mentioned in the brochure, Schaffner has addressed the issue of harmonics with ECOsine’s guaranteed total harmonic current distortion (THID) rating of <5% at full load. The catalog also outlines Schaffner’s ability to reduce cost and energy savings with ECOsine’s reduced rectifier peak and RMS input current, which help make better use of existing electric system capacity.

Lastly, the catalog offers technical specification tables on the two ranges available for ECOsine: one for 50 Hz systems (FN 3410 series) and the other for 60 Hz systems (FN 3412 series). ECOsine FN 3410 filters are designed for 380 V to 500 V, 50 Hz applications and are available for power ratings from 4 kW to 160 kW. FN 3412 filters are suitable for 440 V to 480 V for 60 Hz applications with standard ratings ranging from 5 HP to 250 HP. All filters are UL approved, CE-marked and RoHS-compliant.
